AMD’s new pitch: our old tech is so good you should just keep using it
AMD is relaunching older chips while committing to support its AM5 motherboard socket through 2029. The company is also introducing a special edition Ryzen 7 5800X3D and a new Ryzen 7 7700X3D. Additionally, AMD is expanding the availability of its Radeon RX 9070 GRE graphics card to other countries, including the US.
- ▪AMD is promising to support its AM5 desktop motherboard socket with new Ryzen processors until 2029.
- ▪The company is relaunching a '10th Anniversary' edition of the Ryzen 7 5800X3D for $349 on June 25th.
- ▪AMD is also introducing a new Ryzen 7 7700X3D priced at $330, which is a binned version of the existing 7800X3D.
- ▪The Radeon RX 9070 GRE will be available in the US starting June 1st for $549.
