Bloc Québécois MP Simon-Pierre Savard-Tremblay has announced his departure from the party to run for the Parti Québécois in the upcoming provincial election. He will officially resign from the House of Commons at the beginning of the summer break. Savard-Tremblay has represented the St-Hyacinthe—Bagot—Acton riding since 2019 and will be listed as an Independent until the election.
