Box64 v0.4.4 Released With New Box64-Configurator App Written by Michael Larabel in Free Software on 2 August 2026 at 06:06 AM EDT. Add A Comment Box64 0.4.4 released today as the newest version of this open-source user-space Linux x86_64 emulator for running binaries on 64-bit ARM, RISC-V, and LoongArch systems. For end users one of the most noticeable changes with Box64 0.4.4 is the introduction of a new box64-configurator app. The new box64-configurator is written in Python and brings improvements for managing profiles to make it easier to tune the behavior of different settings on a per-binary/app basis. Last year Box64 introduced the DynaCache as a disk cache for generated native code from x86_64. WIth the Box64 0.4.4 release, DynaCache is now being enabled by default.
