Cambridge Jazz Fest aims to play it forward for the community
The 11th annual Cambridge Jazz Festival at Danehy Park this Saturday and Sunday will be about more than music, said Larry Ward, executive director of the Cambridge Jazz Foundation. “I always tell people ‘music is what we do,’” Ward said. Attendees will also get to enjoy food from various cuisines — Jamaican, Indian, Latin American and much more — and purchase merchandise from a variety of vendors, several of whom are young entrepreneurs between the ages of 12 and 18.
