CBSE slashes answer sheet review fees amid OSM, assures refund on improved marks
The CBSE has reduced the fees for answer sheet re-evaluation in response to student anxiety over Class 12 results evaluated through the new on-screen marking system. Students can apply for re-evaluation from May 19 to May 22, and the board has promised full refunds if marks increase after review. The fee reductions aim to enhance transparency and student confidence in the evaluation process.
- ▪The fee for obtaining a scanned copy of an evaluated answer sheet has been reduced from ₹700 to ₹100 per subject.
- ▪The charge for verification of marks has been cut from ₹500 to ₹100, and re-evaluation of specific questions is now ₹25 per question.
- ▪Students can compare their evaluated scripts with official marking schemes uploaded on the CBSE website.
