Chrome adopts what may be the best protection yet against account takeovers
Google's Chrome browser has added a new feature called device-bound session credentials to prevent account takeovers. This feature stores a unique encryption key in a secure location on the device, making it difficult for attackers to steal session cookies. The new protection is currently available in limited versions of Chrome for Windows and macOS, and it is expected to be implemented in other Chromium-based browsers in the future.
