We are belaboring the obvious to note that this shouldn't have happened, but the obvious becomes more obvious when we learn that the driver of the bus was a Chinese immigrant, now naturalized, who still doesn't speak English, and yet the state of New York issued him a commercial driver's license (CDL). The crash caused a pile-up that ended up involving six vehicles.
