Intel is introducing its next-generation Xe3P AI GPU, named Crescent Island, which will utilize LPDDR5X memory instead of HBM to mitigate the ongoing memory shortage. This GPU will feature a single-GPU setup with a total of 160GB of memory, but it will have significantly lower memory bandwidth compared to competitors. Sampling of the Crescent Island GPU is expected to begin in the second half of 2026.
