Incumbent Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon has narrowly won the local election against Democratic Party candidate Chong Won-o, who has conceded defeat. With 97.7 percent of the ballots counted, Oh received 48.94 percent of the vote compared to Chong's 48.34 percent. This election was part of nationwide local elections held one year after President Lee Jae Myung's administration took office.
