Police ID suspect in OPP officer’s death
A suspect has been identified in the death of an Ontario Provincial Police officer who was struck and killed by a vehicle in northern Ontario. The suspect, 18-year-old Justin Veronneau, had escaped from a hospital where he was being assessed under the Mental Health Act. He has been charged with first-degree murder and several other offenses in connection with the officer's death.
