Remix Mini PC: After a Year of Dead Ends, the eMMC Finally Talks
The Remix Mini PC project has made significant progress after a year of challenges with its internal eMMC storage. A missing line in the device tree was identified as the cause of previous I/O errors, preventing data access. With the correct configuration, the project can now successfully read from the eMMC, paving the way for further development.
- ▪The Remix Mini PC is an Android desktop device from 2015 that has been largely unsupported since its release.
- ▪Initial attempts to access the internal eMMC storage resulted in persistent I/O errors.
- ▪The breakthrough came from discovering a missing voltage supply line in the device tree, which was crucial for enabling data access.
