Review: The Birch Elite Natural latex mattress kept me cool during a sweltering heatwave, but there are some big drawbacks I can't overlook
Tom's Guide Verdict Alongside my husband, I slept on a queen size Birch Elite Natural Mattress for two months, spanning two heatwaves. Cooling is where this mattress shines, thanks to layer after layer of naturally breathable and sweat-wicking materials. The Birch Elite Natural is also superbly responsive and supportive right up to the edges, which is great news for coupes.

The Birch Elite Natural is also superbly responsive and supportive right up to the edges, which is great news for coupes. What I didn't like? The strong glue-like smell when I unboxed the bed, the average motion isolation (an organic mattress of this price should perform better here), and a lack of contouring support for my body (although user reviews are more positive). This wasn't the bed for me.
