The dramatic fall from grace of the world’s richest cat
Choupette, the late Karl Lagerfeld's famous cat, was not included in his will, contrary to speculation. Following Lagerfeld's death in 2019, Choupette now lives a simpler life with his former housekeeper, Françoise Cacote. Despite expectations of financial support, neither Choupette nor Cacote have received any inheritance from Lagerfeld's estate.
- ▪Choupette was a beloved pet of fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld and gained fame during his lifetime.
- ▪After Lagerfeld's death, it was revealed that his fortune went to his muses, excluding Choupette and her caretaker.
- ▪Cacote has stated that they have received no money from Lagerfeld's estate and has hired lawyers to make a claim.
