Except, Reschio is not really like any other luxury resort in Italy at all. The pool is a glassy, oval-shaped mirage in the middle of a clearing of umbrella pine trees, and lays serious claim to being one of the most picturesque hotel swimming spots in the world. The spa isn’t actually a spa, but a bathhouse: a subterranean network of pools and thermal rooms and bathtubs lit by flickering candlelight and roaring fireplaces.
