The car driven by Thalapathy, 36 of Ammapettai rammed a palmyra tree on the kerb near Kandiyur.While Thalapathy and Thamizharasan, 27, died on the spot, four other occupants – Nithish, 25, Sudharsan, 21, Abinesh, 21, and Naren, 18 – were injured and rushed to the Thanjavur Medical College and Hospital.The Naducauvery police have registered a case and are investigating.
