How to use the anti-HIV jab — and where to find it
The six-monthly anti-HIV jab, Lenacapavir, is now available for free at 360 government clinics across six provinces in South Africa. The jab is expected to significantly reduce new HIV infections if enough HIV-negative individuals receive it. Plans are in place to expand availability with generic versions expected in 2027.
