MasterCraft brings CarPlay and Android Auto to its pontoon boats
MasterCraft announced that its upcoming pontoon boat models will support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto through the Savvy Navvy navigation app. The integration, slated for launch next month on Crest and Balise models, will provide 2D and 3D charts, smart routing, marina searches, and live boat traffic information. Customers will receive access to Savvy Navvy Premium features, and the app is also compatible with other marine head units.

Apple's CarPlay and Android Auto are diversifying from road-only sat-nav and coming to select MasterCraft pontoon boats with built-in on-water navigation, MasterCraft Boat Holdings announced. New pontoon models from MasterCraft's sub-brands Crest and Balise will launch with the feature starting next month. Marine pilotage is a whole different animal from highway travel, of course.
